Earth Hour, Now!

I'm currently doing this entry as our household participates in the Earth Hour. I think all of you have an idea of what is Earth Hour all about. Posters of it are everywhere; even the MMDA posts it on their fences.

Anyway, if you're reading this entry and haven't turned off your lights yet, I encourage you to do so. Earth Hour is currently halfway, and I do believe you'll still help if you turn off your lights for 30 minutes or so. Remember that this short discomfort of no lights and all is an equivalent in helping the earth to live much, much longer, and you're fighting global warming. :)

Last Day of High School

Oh yes, today is the last day in which I could call myself a "high school student". Tomorrow will be the end of my high school, but shall be a beginning of my college year. Tomorrow, I will no longer be a 4th Year high school student, but shall be a "Freshman" in college.

I would really miss my high school days, mostly my batchmates. For 10 years we have been together, we've grown up together. We're all like brothers and sisters! But, this is life, and life must go on. :(

Here are some things that I would miss in my stay in Philadelphia High School:

My batchmates
The awesome teachers of GS and HS (especially the HS!)
The smallness of the school (I would be going to a VERY BIG campus.)
The programs (Educ. week, foundation day, etc.)
The RETREATS (Esp. the Seniors' Retreat! Very fun and memorable.)
My lunchmates (Deni would be studying in Trinity, Annie in UST, Erik in La Salle, and me, in Ateneo/UP. Watak-watak kami!)
The Wednesday Group Bible Study (Ptr. Randy's, Sir Boj's, Ahia Jo's)
Kiddie moments! (Kiyo and I played jackstone this morning. Haha XD )
Daily Vacation Bible Study (I'll try to attend next year.)
My uniforms (There's no uniform in Ateneo/UP, so I won't be wearing uniforms.)

Yeah. Happy Love Awareness Day, sort of. It's tomorrow, but I'm sending out an advance greetings to everyone who loves someone special, like God and our friends. :D Of course, everyone loves at least one person! Right?

So, maximize your time on February 14. Spend it with your loved ones, and give them something that would always remember them of how much you cherish them. :)

Sorry for the late post! I just came home from a retreat that started last January 15. Anyway, the UPCAT results for S.Y. 2009-2010 are out! You can check them at http://upcat.up.edu.ph/results . :3

And once more, congratulations to those who passed! You're now proud to say that you are an Isko/Iska. :D

For those who didn't pass, I'm reminding you again that God has better plans than you. Who knows, maybe if you study at UP, you'd also get a nervous breakdown just like one student in UP Diliman who was constantly bashed by his professor.

As for me, I passed on my first choices: UP Diliman, Fine Arts.

USTET Results 2009

And another one is up! The USTET results for 2009-2010 is now posted on their website, which is http://myuste.ust.edu.ph:8888/admission/results.jsp , on the bulletin boards posted on the respective colleges, and the letters are already given out.

I already got mine by lunch time. I passed on two of my course preferences, which is Pre-Commerce and Advertising.

I'm glad that many of my batchmates passed, got wait-listed, on academic placement, and are up for interview. Maybe around 60% of those who took the test.

So, to everyone who passed, congratulations! ♥

ACET 2009 Results Are Out!

Sorry for the late post. XD I forgot to buy another pre-paid internet card yesterday, so, I didn't had the chance to post yesterday.

For those who didn't pass, maybe the Ateneo is not the school for you. The Lord has better plans for you.

In my case, I passed! *screams* And I got in my first choice, which is BS ComTech. But, I'm planning to change my course to BS MIS. Sadly, I didn't get a scholarship grant. Maybe there are more seniors out there who are less fortunate than me.

And for the next school year, I'll experience the OrSem and I'll try to join The Guidon! *squeals*

Delay of UPCAT 2009 Results

Some days ago until this morning, the UPCAT results site says that we can see the results by January 9, 2009, which is today, on their website and wapsite. However, when I checked their website this afternoon, it doesn't say January 9 anymore, but is now saying that we can see the results "by then", which is on the 3rd week of January.

This is the original post in their site:
"UPCAT Results will be posted at the Office of Admissions on the 3rd week of January, 2009. You may also visit this page by then for the web version of the UPCAT results starting January 9, 2009, or view and search the UPCAT Results via WAP using your GPRS phones and WAP-enabled devices at http://wap.up.edu.ph/upcat/. Thank you very much."

This is the new one:
"UPCAT Results will be posted at the Office of Admissions on the 3^rd week of January, 2009. UPCAT 2009 Results

There are rumors around the blogosphere that the UPCAT results would be posted on January 9, 2009. Some, as of today, are saying that the results are already posted at the Admissions Office of UPD.

I really don't know when the results would be out. But, according to the UP Office of Admissions website, the results would be released on the 3rd week of January.

Bah, these results are really freaking me out.

Anyway, I would update my blog ASAP when the results are out.

I'll try to access the internet in our school on breaks, if I must. >.> <.<

UPDATE: We can view the UPCAT results for 2009-2010 on January 9, 2009 on their website, which is http://upcat.up.edu.ph/results/ and their wapsite, http://wap.up.edu.ph/upcat/ . That's acccording to the Admissions Office of UP.

ACET 2009 Results

As of this day, January 4, 2009, there's still no news about the Ateneo College Entrance Test or the ACET 2009 results. The results are late, since usually the results are shown on the 1st Saturday of January. Maybe it is late because PGMA announced that January 2, Friday, is a holiday.

There are, again, rumors circulating around the net that the results would really be shown on January 10, 2008, which is the second Saturday of the month. Maybe this time, the rumor would be true since this info allegedly came from the Admissions Office of Ateneo.

So, let's keep our eyes and ears open always. And always look at the internet. Who knows, maybe the Ateneo would surprise us. :)

UPDATE: Sexy Mom (The D Spot) posted in her blog that she passed by the BEG today at 1:00pm. There were no bulletin board postings there. So, maybe the January 10 release is true.

UPDATE 2: We called up the OAA, and they said that they would post the results on January 12, and that is sure. They are still unsure of if they could post it on an earlier date, say January 10.

UPDATE 3: It's official! January 10 would be the anticipated release of the Ateneo Entrance Exam! That's according to the OAA. :3 But, sadly, I won't be able to post pictures of the results by morning because of some MTAP exam. I'll try to post it at night, since I'll go to the Ateneo by noon. I'll just try, mmkay?

DLSUCET 2009 results

I passed the deadly DLSUCET! And I'm accepted in my first choice, which is BS Applied Economics and BS Commerce! XD I can't believe it. I thought that I would not pass. Thank you Lord!

So, this just means that the site is up, which is http://enroll.dlsu.edu.ph/dlsu/freshmen . You need BOTH your Reference Number and Full Name. :)

EDIT: Whoa. As of 12:37pm today, the DLSU website cannot be accessed. Maybe because of the heavy traffic.

Rumored Releases of Results of UPCAT,ACET, and DLSUCET

I have been digging the internet to know when UP, Ateneo, and La Salle will release their college entrance tests results for S.Y. 2009-2010. I'm very excited of the results, and I do hope my friends, schoolmates, and I pass to their respective choice of where they'll be studying for tertiary level.

So, I now present to you the rumored releases of the results::
DLSUCET- January 1
ACET- January 3
UPCAT- January 9

Better keep an eye on it!

The DLSUCET results can be accessed through checking their website, or text EEXAM(space)DLSU(space)your reference no. and send it to 2333(Globe). I don't know the number for Smart, since I only copied the Globe. X3 Oh, and I'm not sure if La Salle will post the results in the Br. Andrew Gonzalez Hall.

Wait, I have some information about the text line of DLSU. According to a post from a certain forum, it is not that reliable because it is based on the unofficial list of passers, and whether you pass or fail, you'll get a message saying "Congratulations!". But, you'd still know if you pass or fail. If there is a course below the message, then you've passed. But, if there is no course, sorry.

I don't know if they've seen their mistake and correct it this time.

For the ACET, they would post it at the Blue Eagle Gym, and on their website. Usually, the website doesn't show the latest results on the day when the people from Ateneo's OAA post it on the BEG. So, don't lose hope yet if you don't see your name on that day, unless you tested it by typing the name of your friend who passed and it showed up.

The UPCAT results are posted in their Admissions Office, and on their website. Expect lags when you try to access their website. Remember, there are around 70,000 senior students like you who access that site.

Big Bees Flying All Over Manila

Yes, big bees have invaded Metro Manila. That is, helicopters. XD

I was disturbed by the noises those helicopters made when they passed our street. I think there were at least 10 helicopters who passed by.

I wonder where are they heading to?

Vampy Diaries! ♥♥♥

(I haven't posted in here for a while. It's because of school work! XD)

So, I went to Fully Booked to look for a paperback copy of City of Ashes, and guess what I found? THE VAMPIRE DIARIES!!

Okay, I was looking for a copy of that book after my obsession BEFORE of Twilight. Sadly, Christine and I didn't found any copy. But now, I have with me a sizzling new copy of The Vampire Diaries I and II. Hooray! X33

I'll be posting a review after I finish it. So, watch out! Maybe I'll start a new obsession at school. Haha.

For other news, the ACET 2009-2010 results and DLSUCET 2009-2010 results will be up the first week of January. For ACET, I think it's on January 3, and for DLSUCET, maybe on January 3 also. I'm not that sure about DLSUCET.

Well, I'm thinking if I should go to the Blue Eagle Gym on Jan. 3 for the results and so that I could take pictures of the postings there. I just hope that if when I arrive there and look at the bulletin boards, it'll be a birthday party for me and not a funeral.

The Mortal Instruments > Twilight Series

... Well, that is in my own opinion. :)

Anyway, I'm in-love with a new series called The Mortal Instruments by Cassandra Clare. It's a trilogy, kicking off with City of Bones, City of Ashes, and the last would be City of Glass. I've finished City of Bones, and I am now waiting for the City of Ashes to have a paperback here in the Philippines. Puro hardbound kasi nakikita ko e.

So, before November 2, 2008, I have never heard of The Mortal Instruments series nor Cassandra Clare. I was searching for a book to buy with Poseur on that day at Fully Booked. I was debating over Vampire Academy, Eragon, The Chronicles of Vladimir Tod, or Luxe.

While waiting for a staff of Fully Booked that I asked, I noticed a thick book on the shelves of the fantasy. You've guessed it right, it was the City of Bones! So, I read the synopsis at the back cover and I thought it was "interesting". Mom was getting angry by the minute so right after the staff came back, I didn't put the City of Bones back into the shelves and walked straight ahead into the counter. It was the last book in there.

I didn't regret buying it. It was the book that had all the things I wanted in a book (fantasy, twists, humor, a little bit of romance, adventure, suspense, mythical creatures)! I fell in love with it. I love it more that I love the Twilight series! Oh, and back off Edward Cullen, Jace Wayland is in the throne now. >:)

I totally recommend it. ♥ It'll be a book that you will never forget. :)

So, look for one now and buy it! Oh, and for fans, let's hope that a movie producer would pick up The Mortal Instruments and turn it into a movie.

The DLSUCET and The USTET

The last two tests for my future are done. I took the former last October 19, and the latter last Sunday. My only wish is that I pass both. :)

Let me start off with the DLSUCET. I didn't prepare for it. I just watched TV shows the day before the test. Heck, I almost forgot that I have a test the next day! I just realized that I have a test when I was pondering on what to do for the day.

It was not that easy, but not very hard. It was time-pressured to the fullest. You'll never notice that the time is up because in your mind, you'll assume that you have just used 10 minutes of the time. Time is deceiving indeed.

The tests that I liked most about the DLSUCET was the english part. I had a fun time answering the part wherein you are presented with a number of sentences and decide on which is true about those. Example:

" A. I just woke up from a sleep of 10 hours.
B. I had a headache after I woke up.
C. I kicked the door.

a. A is the cause of B
b. C is the result of A
c. B supports C
d. A, B, and C are not related"

Those kind of questions. Oh, and I also liked the Filipino essay part. I think my essay on that part contained more than 300 words. And, it is full of "makatang salita".

Next stop: the USTET.

I now have another traumatic experience of traffic. Because of severe congestion in going to UST, me and my mom were forced to walk from the railroad in Espana to UST. It's because of all these students like me who will take the USTET. Anywhere I look I saw folders on UST. UST fever?

I saw Debz, my classmate in High Achievers, a review center I attended last summer to refresh my memory of lessons of the past. She's still perky and cute.

The Beato Angelico building of UST is new. It has elevators! XD

Then I went to my room. Unexpectedly, I saw Arriane, a former classmate, in my room. We had the same room! We exchanged greetings and chatted while our proctor gave out our seat plan. I was in the first chair of the first column, the chair and column on which you can see what's happening on the corridors.

Compared to the other 3 tests I took, this was the easiest. I think I finished the mathematics part in 30 minutes (the alloted time was 45 minutes). Achievement! XD

The Test V was the hardest for me. It was only given to test-takers who chose Architecture or a course from CFAD. I think the title was Space Relations. It left my mind tangled and fragmented! Here's the direction for it:

" These problems consist of patterns with shadings or designs in them. These patterns can be folded into three-dimesional shapes. Each problem shows a pattern, followed by four three-dimensional patterns. You are to choose the one figure that can be made from the pattern. "

After that test, the people who chose CFAD will have an additional test. For Advertising Arts (my pick), we had to draw a mascot/icon that will advertise a food item and make 3 letterings from the list of words on the board. I chose art, beauty, and computer.

Overall, here are my personal rankings for the difficulty of the 4 tests::
1. UPCAT (The pressure of right minus wrong!)
2. DLSUCET (The pressure of time!)
3. ACET (The pressure of speed tests!)
4. USTET (The pressure of hunger! XD I didn't eat lunch when I took this.)

The Busybee.

I declare October as the "Busybees' Month". Why? If you're a student, you'll know why.

October is the month on which tests, tests, and more tests abound, and also projects. MANY projects. Then the deadlines of these projects usually fall on the same week, or worse, the same day. I'm not even finished yet with one. My vest. Ugh.

Oh those Periodical Tests. They make life harder. But projects are harder.

About the PTs, I kinda love them. It squeezes all the knowledge and the common sense in me. And then I refill it again. A cleansing process, I must say.

I can't think of anything else to say. It's in my private journal, and I'm not gonna show it to you. Ha ha.

A Special Day.

September 15 is a very special day for me. It is one of the most important dates in my life. Guess what? It's the date when I was born.

Yesterday was a very fun day. Kiyo, Vina, Dave, Valerie, Charles, Kate, Nikki, and I didn't attend our classes because we went to the Technological Institute of the Philippines (TIP) for the OlymPhysics. It was VERY fun. It is not a paper-based contest, it is an application "olympics".

Even though we didn't enter the final round (but close to entering it), it was okay. We won the experience and the fun it brought to us. We reached the school at around 3:45pm.

While I was in my tutorial class, Deni, Deanna, and Jhouleen, surprised me and gave me a "birthday board". It was pretty and unique! Thank you to everyone who wrote a message on it and to all who greeted me. <33

When I reached home, my jolly nephew was dancing while his mom was singing happy birthday to me. He was very cute and was running all around. Oh, and he was also trying to sing the happy birthday song, but he cannot. XD

We had cake, spaghetti, shanghai rolls, pancit bihon, roasted chicken, and ice cream as our food for my birthday. I was very full, but I still tried to eat cake. Good thing I didn't puke.

My mom gave me the Youth Bible that I've been wanting for weeks, Simple Living for Teens, and Every Teenager's Little Black Book on Cash. Thanks Ma!

After the dinner, I did my homework in rush. Then I slept at around 10:30 pm.

The ACET = Happiness?

After the MIS-Camp, I fell in love with the Ateneo. I fell in love with its environment, its facilities, its culture, and its campus. I also fell in love with the course I chose in the Ateneo; I want to study there by the time I hit my college. But first, I need to pass the ACET.

The Ateneo College Entrance Test, or more known as the ACET, is labeled as the HARDEST entrance exam here in the Philippines. It is known to "kill" the brains of the exam takers and giving them a lot of time pressure, like speed tests. Some people say it was designed NOT to be finished.

Hearing all these stuff, I decided to prepare 2 weeks before the test. I brushed up on my maths, grammars, and reviewed the things we had tackled last summer at HA. I'd do my homeworks fast just to review for the ACET. Oh, and on the day before the ACET, I relaxed. Ha ha.

Yesterday was the big day. I woke up at around 8 am, giving myself a 9-hour sleep. At around 10:30, me and my mom left the house to go to the Ateneo. We didn't take the short cut because we know that there will be heavy traffic at the shortest route. We arrived there at 11:30. After a few minutes, a member of the ACET facilitating committee told us to fall in line. While waiting, Velli and I ate our wedges and drank our orange juice. At around 1:30, we started the test.

The first test was English, and the time allotment for it was 1 hour and 5 minutes. Aside from the 100-item mutiple choice test, it had an essay part. I took the multiple choice part for 30 minutes, leaving me with 35 minutes for the essay part. I occupied the whole page, even the back page for my essay! But, I believe it's only because I have big handwriting.

The second test was Math, which was composed of 60 items for 1 hour. I was very happy because almost everything that I reviewed for showed up! I guessed some, but I'm 95% sure of my answers there.

Oh, and break time! XD I ate half of my chicken burger, and half of my Meiji Black Chocolate bar. Hooray for brain food!

The speed tests were now up. General Information was the first one, 25 items for 5 minutes. I finished it just in time. I think Abstract reasoning was next, 30 items for 10 minutes I think. I'm not sure. I also finished it. Analogy was next, 25 items for 5 minutes. I used the "marking" technique there, wherein I would just put a mark on my answers and shade it later. It worked! Reading Comprehension, 30 items for 20 minutes. Finished it also. Logical Reasoning, which I don't like, had 30 items for 10 minutes. Then, the last part was Numerical Ability. 30 items for 30 minutes. For me, it was the hardest one. I guessed around 10-15 items in there. There was little time, and I was excited to get home then! XD We were dismissed by the proctor at around 6:30 in the evening.

I believe that I will pass the ACET because of the preparation that I did, prayers, and because of God. If it weren't for Him, maybe I wouldn't have the time and the perseverance to prepare and the confidence that I had while taking the test.

The UPCAT

I know that this post is kinda late for the UPCAT, but anyway, I took the exam last August 3, 2008. All I can say is, whoa.

It is true that those in the reviewers were HARDER than the actual UPCAT test. I'm serious. I expected the UPCAT to be very hard, especially the Science and the Filipino part. I thought that there would be questions and terms known only to college students.

I had a hard time on the Math part. I guessed about 40% of the Math test. I studied Geometry and some Conic Sections and what did I get? ALGEBRA. Functions and finding the value of the variable to be exact. I didn't like those two topics, especially the latter. I just don't get it.

Anyway, I still believe that my UPG will be more than enough for me to be accepted at the UP Diliman campus. Oh, and I pray that if ever I pass, they'll be allowing me to change my choice of course. I want to take up Business Economics or Business Administration instead of Fine Arts.

As of now, I'm preparing for the ACET. I want to pass the ACET badly!

Last August 2, me and some of my schoolmates went to the Ateneo for an IT seminar called the MIS-Camp. We all thought that we were going to have a workshop and they'll just teach us with some programs and such. But, we're wrong.

For the first half, we had some speakers talk about the benefits of being a graduate of Management Information Systems, or simply MIS. Then, we had the Human Bingo, wherein we had to talk to the representatives of the other schools and ask them to write their names on the item which is factual to them. Then, after another speaker, we went to our assigned groups, and headed out for lunch.

Sheeeeeep. We were very quiet at lunch time! I didn't stand the quietness I'm experiencing. So, I asked them from what school they're from and what level. At first I thought that we were all 4th Year students. They all looked mature to me. XD

Then, we went to the rooms. We were given a task- to design the classroom of the future. As we brainstorm, we then had a chance to introduce ourselves. We got pretty close, I think. Oh, and sadly, we didn't win the 1st place of designing it.

After the activity, we went back to Escaler Hall. Then, we had another speaker from Gawad Kalinga. I was so inspired by his message. It gave me an idea for a suggestion in the plans for the School Year. And the last speaker is one of the successful alumni of the MIS. She talked about her life in the MIS and outside. I was also inspired by her words.

It was a very fun experience! Aside from being the pioneers of the MIS-Camp, we made new friends. We met new people from different schools and with different backgrounds.

I'll never forget this event. <3333

UPCAT Tips <33

Whoa. Time really flies fast. Just last month I told to myself that UPCAT is still very far. Now, it's only 2 days for me, and a day for some. The greatest exam in all time. Tomorrow and Sunday.

Many people do cram, even though it is not advisable. I'll cram tonight. I have to catch up on my Filipino and Science. XD

The UPCAT Countdown

There's only a week left to prepare and study for the test of the year: the University of the Philippines College Admission Test or simply the UPCAT. I believe that around 60,000 senior students around the Philippines will take it. That includes me.

Ever since I've become aware of all these college stuff, I wanted UP to be my alma mater. I wanted to be an Iska. I wanted to be known as one of the students who passed the UPCAT. I want to bear with me the name UP. I just wanted to be part of UP! The glory and all. Love it.

But, to enter UP, I have to pass the dreaded UPCAT, which I believe is one of the hardest entrance examinations in the country. 250 items for around 3 hours. Tons of solving, analyzing, cold sweat, and "nosebleed".

Basically, I'm starting to brush up on the lessons I have studied before. I'm also answering some sample tests and checking on what parts should I study and improve. Of course, I'm also asking for guidance, wisdom, and strength to our Almighty God.

The GREAT UPDATE :] Part 3!

This is the last part of my great update. For the 5th time, I ran for the Student Council in the position of Prez. It's the last position I haven't ran, so why not? And then again, I lost. Hooray? XD

Even though I did not win, I still have the School Paper. Our goal this year is to release 4 issues because for the past years, we've been only producing 2 issues a year. Bummer! Well, at least we still have this year. :]

Oh, and for today. I declare that today is the Disorentation/Bad Mood Day in my calendar. Why? First off, my records folder is missing. It had always been in my locker; I rarely bring it at home. Now it's lost. Maybe someone stole it just for fun or my folder had secret feet and ran away. Second, our English teacher gave selected students, including me, a -10 in our test this morning because of whatever reason we don't know.

Because of this, we went to his table at the faculty. We asked him why. He said that he subtracted 10 from our grades is that we opened our notes while having a test. We don't know what is that test- a seat work, a quiz, or what. Heck, he didn't even tell us that we couldn't open our notes. Oh, and EVERYONE were opening their notes, not just us. Even our First honor for last year opened her notes! Very, very unfair. Tsk tsk Tsk.

So, we said that and he uplifted the said subtraction. Hooray! But still, we were somewhat angry at him because of that. Well, we just said that we should forgive and forget. And we did.

The GREAT Update :] Part 2!

This is the part 2 of the GREAT update. :]

So, this post will be all about my first day. I really thought that I would be placed in the class of the terror teacher. (Philadelphians, you know who he is.) I was placed in the other section. Hooray! But, 4 of my close friends were placed at the "terror" section. I miss bugging them in the classroom.

Our adviser was absent on our first day of class. Mr. Zapico, our Economics teacher, was the substitute teacher. I could just imagine what would happen if we have no teacher in the classroom. Havoc and chaos would reign.

Let's go back to my peeps. Even though some of my friends were placed at the other section, I'm still happy because my crazy partner-in-crime, Jhouleen, my poring, Erik, and my "kambal", Clariz, are my classmates. The good part is, Jhouleen is only a seat away from me! I'm going to have tons of crazy, memorable moments this year.

I'm just praying that for my last year of High School, I'm going to have a very memorable year. Oh, and to have fun, to express myself, and to act crazy(?) in front of the lower levels. And, I want to revamp our School Publications; make it more interesting, not just food for the trashcan.

I haven't posted here for a month. And my ranking is getting below the belt. Currently I am at the 399th spot. Eeew.

Anyway, I'll tell you guys what happened to me in the past month.

FIRST::: High Achievers Review Classes

It was a VERY fun experience. I learned new stuff which were not taught yet in school. Oh, and the teachers are fun to be with, especially Ma'am Flor and Sir Aldrin.

Even though I had to wake up early just to go there and go home at around 6 pm, I don't regret it. Aside from learning and refreshing our shells, I also learned lessons in life and of course: New Friends! I can also show to them my own self without having to worry on what they will say to me.

I'm A High Achiever!

The review classes that I'm currently attending started last Wednesday. Go High Achievers! XD

Anyway, I am having a fun time being on HA. We really don't have that super strict teacher that makes us feel the terror and the pain. So far, I like the teachers, especially Sir Aldrin *claps*.

For other stuff, the Menewshan Phoenix Jubilee just ended. And I forgot to spend my remaining orchids. D: I'm an event item hoarder. Muhaha.

I loved the event, especially the addition of buds. Because of buds, I don't need to spend my precious gold! X3 and I bought a pair of wings using buds. Thank you Menewsha for having the bud concept!

Menewsha Love

So, I've been hooked up on Menewsha for half a year now, starting last October. I don't know why I'm really hooked up on Mene. Maybe it's because of the new people that I have met there. :]

Anyway, Menewsha has an event starting tomorrow (in my case, it's because I live on a GMT+8 side of the world). It is called "The Phoenix Jubilee." It would end on May 21. May 22 in my case. XD

I'm all excited about it. EVENT ITEMS! *o* I love the event items. They always remind me of what happened on that event and such.

But, event items = more money to spend. D: And so I am starting to play tetris nonstop to have some funds to spend on. I don't want to be left out and regret later on why I didn't buy the event item while it is still half priced.

I have been thinking on what to write on my blog. So I should make descriptions of my friends from time to time. Who knows, maybe you'll be the one. Let's start off with the guy. :]

I have known this friend of mine for at least 2 years now. He's been my refuge when I have some problems. Oh, and he is friendly. He's also funny and cheerful. Even though he's like that, he knows when to be serious.

He's also emo-ish sometimes. But he doesn't have that suicidal tendencies. He sleeps very late. Vampire in the making. Muhaha.

One thing I like in him is that he is caring and is thoughtful. No wonder why he has many friends. :]

I can't describe him more, because words are not enough. XD

The Shy Issue

I love to watch Pinoy Big Brother. I don't know why, but I am fascinated by it. As for this time, it is once again the Teen Edition Plus. It features Filipino teens of different personalities and bloodlines. One of my favorites, Alex, is from Italy. His mom is Filipino and his dad is an Italian. Mixed cultures FTW!

Anyway, there was this episode in which a House Player entered the house and most of the girls had bad feelings with the newcomer except for one girl named Rona. She befriended Shy, the house player, but this act enraged the other girls. Because of this, Rona confronted the other girls and asked them why they didn't like Shy. They gave their reasons.

As for me, Beauty's reason why she doesn't like Shy is valid. There was this instance in which Kuya called Beauty and she responded. Shy was there, and she was making fun of beauty. She said that "parang aso na takot sa amo si Beauty". Of course, anyone who hears that will feel offended.

As for Priscilla, her reason is not valid. Obsolete. She doesn't like Shy because she didn't feel good vibes in her. Sheesh, she doesn't even know who Shy is. All she did was to judge Shy and to keep blabbering on how "evil" Shy is. Tupperware? Can be.

Nicole? Ugh. She didn't like Shy because she thinks that Shy really likes Josef and she is JEALOUS. I think that she doesn't have a right to be jealous because Josef is not her boyfriend in the first place. Sorry for offending the Nicosef fans.

I hope that they learned their lesson after Kuya talked to them about that issue. I think Beauty learned her lesson. I think Priscilla didn't. I don't know about Nicole.

Pokemon <3

Starting last week, I've been playing Pokemon Emerald on my PC again. It was all because of boredom. My internet connection expired (I'm using a prepaid internet card) and I don't have money to buy one so I searched my USBs and found the game and the emulator. And then my Pokemon adventure began.

I chose Mudkip as my starter pokemon to try a different element. I've been used to have fire-type pokemon (Torchic) and so having a water-type pokemon was a challenge. At first it was easy since some Gym Leaders' weakness is water. But as I go on, it became hard. Swampert had some weaknesses, and it lacked physical strength. XD Good thing Rayquaza is on my side.

Now, I am starting off with Pokemon Fire Red. I just started playing it yesterday and I chose Charmander as my starter.

As of this hour, I am downloading Pokemon Mystery Dungeon- Red Rescue Team. I hope that my connection won't fail me again. XD

UPCAT = doom?

Here in the Philippines, the top four in which are the University of the Philippines, Ateneo de Manila University, De La Salle University, and the University of Santo Tomas. These schools produce some of the best personalities in the country. Their professors are brilliant, and they deliver great education. Because of this, many students aspire to study in these schools. And so the history of review centers began.

In preparation for the upcoming UPCAT, I have decided to enroll to a review center so that my mind will be refreshed of the lessons that I have studied in the past three years of my highschool life. My mom enrolled me in High Achievers, which is found in the city where I live in. I am excited about it because I will meet new people and learn new stuff. :D

The reason why I have chosen to review in High Achievers is because there are only 15 students per batch. Students will be able to concentrate more, and they would be closely-knit because of the small population. I have experienced being in a review class with around 40 students, and I hated it. I cannot concentrate, and I only knew 4 people. Also, the teacher is concentrated to the people in front. It was lousy.

I am very excited and nervous. Maybe I won't make new friends, but I'll be packing up some confidence and step out of my comfort zone.

New Hairdo

After all these years, I have decided to have a haircut on a salon. I remember when I was still a kid, I have vowed not to let someone cut my hair, except for my mom. But for the past few days, I thought of having a haircut. So, here I am now with my new 'do. Hooray! XD

I really wanted to have very long bangs before, but I am not sure if how long or what style. So, the stylist who cut my hair helped me decide. Thank you :]

Anyway, here's a pic for you to see the style. :D

I did not copy the hairstyle. I just copied the style of the bangs. XD

When my mom saw my new 'do, she freaked out. She told me that it is WAY too long. Yes, I know that it is long, but not too long that it would cover up my whole face. I can still see, but not as good as when I had no bangs. Muhaha. XD But now she doesn't freak out. She can't do anything because it is done.

Well, it is my first step to change. Hooray for me! XD

The Great... Alias?

After a couple of days at PinoyLAG posting as an anonymous user, I have seen the world as a normal user and not as a "special" user. I experienced how to chat with the people outside of your "safety area friends", to "spam" here and there, to have no special treatment or such, and to be free with responsibility *giggles*.
